David Kirsch TS #2
I met with
In-young at Strozier on June, 19th from 4:00-5:00 PM. When we
started In-young explained that she was not able to complete the writing prompt
I had given to her at the end of our previous session because she had gone to
be with her friend on Tuesday whose mother had just passed away. With that in
mind, we focused mostly on speaking and reading for this session. First, I had
her read an article and answer a few questions about its contents. We went over the
questions she answered incorrectly, as well as the words from the article that
she had trouble understanding (grassy, outskirts). We then spent the rest of our time with some
speaking activities focusing on conditionals (If…., then….) and some more back
and forth questions about the future and American culture. At the end of the
session I asked her to work on the writing prompt for our next session on Friday.
Due to how well she did with the reading sample, I have decided to bring a news
article with slightly more difficult vocabulary for next time.
