June 18th, from 11 am to 2 pm:
On Tuesday, I had gone to the PACE summer camp. For that day, I did not only helped tutor second graders, but I also tutor children from first grade to seven grade. All of the students had to read a book called "On the run." Everyone had the chance to read aloud in class. After the reading was completed, they had worksheets about their reading to do. The worksheet was divided into categories. One had a word work over root words, prefix, suffix, etc while the second one was more of a Q&A and matching. The last part of their worksheet was "State your opinion" in which the students had to write in full sentence their opinion about Mark, the runner in the story. If the student was in 7th grade, he had to write 7 total sentences and so forth with the other grades. They were given 15 minutes to write down their sentences and after they finished, I had every student read their opinion aloud to the class. Skarlet, though, is a very shy girl and since she is in second-grade I let her not read hers aloud, however; I told her that she will have to read hers aloud next time.
