Michelle CP #2
Date/Time: Tuesday, July 2. 2-4 pm. Stone Building, FSU
My conversation partner is Jayeon Park from South Korea. She has just begun a Master's degree in the College of Education. She is a very interesting woman who has accomplished much in her life. She founded an NGO in Africa that brings teachers from Korea to Kenya and Uganda in order to train African school teachers in methods of education. Her program reaches the most remote and isolated people in those countries. She has traveled all over the world, but this is the first time she has lived in the United States. I learned that Korea has a government program that is similar to the United States Peace Corps. I also learned that there are many Christian organizations in Korea (similar to the US) that send people on missions to other countries.
